Lily has always been a sickly baby. I don't mean that she throws up entire feeds (although I know some mums whose children do just that), rather she has always tended to deposit a little of her feed when being burped or indeed sometimes randomly hours after feeding. Because Lily has sensitive skin, prone to breakouts of exzema, the doctor advised against using bubble baths – even those described as designed with babies in mind. Instead our doc prescribed Oilatum Emollient to use at bathtimes. Read more

I guess my daughter stood a good chance of having sensitive skin as it runs in both of our families and as a child I suffered from eczema. Lily's skin became noticeably dry and in patches quite sore pretty early on. Her neck and back seemed to be particularly bad to begin with and so we made a trip to the docs to discuss the problem with one of the nurses at the surgery.Read more

We are incredibly thankful that our little girl is a pretty happy one most of the time. She only tends to cry when she is tired or hungry and both of those scenarios are easily resolved. But when she started teething, boy did she let us know.Read more
